IN HIS OWN WORDS…

From a young age the idea of being healthy was very important to me. However, it wasn’t until several family members began suffering health problems that I started taking an interest in medicine.

My early interest in health led me to researching my grandmothers long list of medications to find out how they worked and what they were doing inside of her body.

To my surprise many of the drugs she was taking had no certainty that they’d work and there were a long list of potential side effects.

These early insights sparked my curiosity to search for other options that could be offered to people suffering with chronic health problems without the negative side effects.

As fate would have it, two weeks before my university preferences were due for submission I found myself in a Chinese medicine clinic for a health problem I had been dealing with at the time.

My GP didn’t have any answers or solutions, so I was interested in another perspective.

The Chinese doctor diagnosed my problem and within just two weeks resolved a problem I had been dealing with for two years with the use of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture.

It was this experience that influenced me to add the five year double degree in Chinese medicine and Human biology to my university preferences.

In my final year of university I had the opportunity to complete a full clinical internship at the Jiangsu Provincial hospital of Chinese medicine in Nanjing.

I passed my exams in all major departments including nephrology, dermatology, gastroenterology, oncology, gynaecology, pediatrics and rheumatology. Since returning, I have refined my skills with some of the best practitioners in the world.

My primary focus is to understand the underlying nature of a patients concerns and to offer reliable and natural treatment approaches.
